Sherman Woods occupies approximately 17 acres which includes 700 feet of private beach front property along the shores of beautiful Lake Huron

We are located 1.1 miles directly north of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron,Michigan.

The Bluewater Bridge's twin spans rise 150 feet above the junction of Lake Huron and the St Clair River. This bridge is an important international link with our northern neighbor Canada. Millions of cars and trucks cross this bridge on an annual basis providing billions of dollars of commerce between our two great countries. Our location is also on one of the busiest international water transportation routes in the world seeing approximately 190 million tonnes of cargo per year and generating 1.83 billion in revenue. The St Clair River and Lake Huron are major parts of the Great Lakes/ St Lawrence Seaway system that connects America's heartland with ports around the world.

The City of Port Huron has many parks that sit on the banks of the St Clair River and Lake Huron, after all we are a waterfront community! There are many interesting waterfront shops and some great restaurants in the region, some of these are located along the shores of the beautiful Black River, which flows through the center of town.

Our city is host to many events including the Port Huron to Mackinaw sail boat race! The race attracts tens of thousands of spectators that arrive here to see the many world class sail boats, that depart Port Huron for the beautiful island of Mackinaw. The beach at Sherman Woods is a great place to enjoy the day as these beautiful sailboats make their way to the race starting line, just north of our location.

The Sherman Woods subdivision is also a waterfront community, boasting a private sandy beach for it's residents and their guests. In that area we provide fire pits for summer bonfires, volleyball nets, picnic tables, benches and other amenities. There is also a community shuffleboard located in the beach area. For the enjoyment of our many sports enthusiasts, the central part our subdivision features a tennis/pickle ball which sees a lot of use in the summer months. In the winter a section of the tennis area may sport a good game of shinny.

Our subdivision has a population of about 180 people. There are 63 households that make up our neighborhood.

We are a family oriented community where residents truly care about their friends and neighbors, a place where smiles and "hello" are common place and a place where a helping hand, lives just next door.

Sherman Woods...

"a great community and a wonderful place to raise a family"
